If you are interested in applying to the Principles of STD/HIV Research Course, you will need to submit an application in order to be considered for registration. Applications will be reviewed by the course directors once submitted. If your application is selected, you will be notified and given information on registration/payment.
If you are seeking financial assistance with the registration fee, you can apply for a scholarship at the same time that you submit your course application; scholarships are very limited and are assessed on the basis of merit and financial need. For more information, visit our scholarship page.
Registration Procedure and Policies
General applications are reviewed by Course Directors. Incomplete applications that do not include a recent CV will not be considered. Notification of acceptance will be sent via email approximately two weeks after the application deadline.
After notification has been sent, those who have been accepted will receive additional information on how to complete and confirm participation and how to pay the course registration fee. Participation is not confirmed until course payment has been received in full.
After confirming participation and submitting course registration payment, additional details and information to help you prepare for participation in the course will be sent. This includes additional information on accommodations, travel preparations, and a tentative schedule.
**No partial or daily course registration is possible. Requests for course auditing will not be granted. University of Washington faculty/staff/students are permitted to attend up to five lectures on a drop-in basis without registering for or enrolling in the course.
